Jason Napier’s sculptures are said to be "symbolic and filled with motion". Instead of capturing the animal in nature, he captures the nature and essence of the animal itself. Known throughout the West Coast as one of the finest sculptors of wildlife today, Jason has created his own mark in the world of bronze. His wonderfully crafted art takes on the smooth, complementary shapes of his subjects, allowing the viewer to recognize the image even though every detail is not there. His genius allows us to appreciate the true natural forms created by nature with the patinas softly and delicately emphasizing the beauty within.
While working at a bronze-casting foundry in 1993, Jason first discovered his talent for sculpture. At the young age of 20, he decided to pursue and develop this talent. Almost instantly, Jason has made his mark in the world of bronze and had found his lifelong passion. His talent combined with a desire to excel has led to his immediate acceptance in national shows, galleries and collections worldwide. Some of Jason’s credits include being featured in several national publications; including the front cover of “Wildlife Art” (July 2001 issue), chosen as featured artist for numerous juried exhibitions and gallery showings, commissioned by several private and corporate collectors and has even been featured on Home & Garden Television.
The Northwest has been a home and source of inspiration for Jason. The abundant amount of wildlife and their special characteristics have helped to fuel his creativity.
